Calar (Khalar)

Posted: August 2, 2010 in Vocab

calar [kuhlahr] v. 1. to attempt to play something off.  2. to act differently from your thoughts.  3. to act falsely to get attention – calarring, calarscalarred

An example of calar would be:  Let’s say you go to your friend’s restaurant.  You know that you’ll be covered for the meal since your friend owns it, but when you’re done eating, you make a half-ass attempt to pay for your share of the meal.  You would be calarring.  Other spellings include khalar or cahlar.
